Underfloor Heating

Updated: Jul 5, 2021

What a luxury and the most efficient way to heat a room.

Due to an even distribution of heat, underfloor heating is an efficient way to heat and to maximize the space within a pod.

Because underfloor heating works at a lower temperature and is distributed evenly across the whole floor area the energy it consumes is far less and more controllable than storage or oil filled radiators.

Radiators heat up the area immediately around them, meaning that the heat they release is quickly dispersed upwards, and away from the centre of a room.

This means radiators have to work harder for us to feel the effects, draining energy, and if electric needing to be quite large as they are not efficient in releasing heat energy.

“Because underfloor heating works at a lower temperature and is distributed evenly across the whole floor area the energy it consumes is far less and more controllable than storage or oil filled radiators”

A radiator on a wall is also a dead space within what could be a small office or garden room, making them even more of an illogical heating solution for these types of building projects.
